Marie Hoffman
Narrator

Bio: I am a professional voice talent, who brings skill and confidence to every project. My voiceover experience includes commercials, audiobooks, eLearning, explainer videos,  telephony, and corporate narration. I work from my home studio in NJ, which is equipped  with Source Connect Standard and ipDTL. My vocal attributes — trustworthy, educated,  engaging, and believable — create an air of “warmth with wisdom”.

I am very active in supporting and volunteering at the JBI Library (established in 1931 as  the Jewish Braille Institute), and Learning Ally in NYC. I set time aside to record books for those who are visually impaired and educationally challenged, so they can enjoy published works of art. I am also a member of The Online Stage, a volunteer collective of narrators and actors who create high-quality productions of classic dramatic works in audio format.

Having graduated Magna Cum Laude from Montclair State University (2001) with a BS in  Finance, I am well-versed in business jargon, having worked for more than 25 years in various industries — publishing, banking, pharma. I also taught elementary school, so engaging an audience, whatever their age, is second nature to me.

Accent Capabilities: Polish, Russian, Yiddish, Hebrew, German. Can perform dialects from NY, NJ, American Southern.

Preferred Genre(s): Non-fiction (memoirs, business, health), children's books, fiction (historical, cozy mysteries).

Rates: $225 PFH; RS+ - $100 PFH + royalties. Acceptance of royalty share contract is at the narrator's discretion.
